“Wiki Loves Earth-2014″
We are glad and honored to announce our partnership with the competition “Wiki Loves Earth” this year. By inivtation of the organisers two of UAPF memebers: Lev Savitskiy and Aton Petrus are included in the judgement pannel this year.

We are proud to share a certificate granted to UAPF by Wiki-Media Foundation in recognition of our memebers’ help in the judgement process of the competition.
The main objective of the project is to spread free knowledge about the Earth’s natural heritage and contribution to respect for nature and the environment.
The contest will be held until May 31, 2014 It will be attended by 20 countries. Upon its completion, held a photo exhibition of the best works .
Organizer and initiator of an international project is the NGO “Wikimedia Ukraine .” It is in Ukraine photo competition was first held in 2013. Now Ukrainian representative of the Wikimedia Foundation is coordinating the efforts of other countries to hold this contest.
In 2013, the competition ” Wiki loves Earth ” in the Commons (Wikimedia Commons) was loaded with 11,000 photos. The competition was attended by over 380 participants .
In the 2014 photo contest “Wiki loves Earth” takes place in two stages: at the national and international levels. By June 15, 2014 Winners will be announced in each of the countries – participants. Ukraine has two nominations: best photos by Jury and the greatest number of monuments photographed by one author . Jury, which will consist of the renowned names in the field of journalism , photography, art , nature protection and environmental spheres , selects 10 of the best photos of the competition and the best photo separately for each of the regions of Ukraine.
Winners of the international stage will be known in June 28, 2014 . The awarding ceremony will be held in Kiev, Ukraine.
After downloading all the pictures to Commons acquire free license Creative Commons, which provides for free use provided the link to the author and source .
Participation in the competition is free and open for both professional photographers and amateurs alike . It is imperative own authorship of the images and download them for May 2014.
