Pavlo Petrov

Photographer for the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Since 2017, I have been covering the work of rescue units. I started working in the Luhansk region, where I worked for 3 years in the press center of the regional State Emergency Service. Along with rescuers and pyrotechnics, I have been dispatched dozens of times to extinguish fires, clear dangerous areas, and destroy ammunition. Since 2020, I have been working in Kyiv and am constantly with rescuers during emergency events. Starting from February 24, 2022, I have been capturing the aftermath of each enemy shelling of the capital. Together with firefighters, I was one of the first to arrive at the scene of the event. In April 2022, I was awarded by the Head of the State Emergency Service with the badge "For Courage in an Emergency Situation."
