Serhiy Stakhnyk

Serhiy Stakhnyk is a professional commercial photographer. He was born in 1976. Originally from Ukraine, Ternopil region, the provincial town of Berezhany. The first serious acquaintance with the camera and photography happened in his youth, when he had to make a photo report of the funeral procession from the family circle. This early episode left an imprint and an understanding in the soul that photography is not just a hobby, but also a way of life and self- expression. He graduated from Ternopil National University of Economics, in the field of economics, majoring in finance and credit. In 1999 he emigrated to Portugal, where he became a photographer. From 2010 to 2011 he took long-term professional courses at the Technical School of Imaging and Communication (ETIC-Algarve). After its completion, photographic professional development was directed to the commercial line, namely: photography of real estate and interiors; architecture; objects, still life, and food specialization; hotel organizations, construction agencies and exclusive clients. He is currently a member of the Portuguese Association of Freelance Photographers of the Algarve - ALFA. Professional motto: "First impressions are the most valuable"! This slogan is dominant not only in professional activities, but also in everyday life in general! In 2019 he opened his own studio, which implements a variety of commercial photo and video projects, as well as collaborations with tourism, hotel and local organizations.
