The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus implemented a series of exhibitions “Tragedy of the 21st century in the centre of Europe”, which took place in the cities of Nicosia, Sotir and Larnaca.
The terrible and cruel pictures of the war presented to the viewer are a reality in which the Ukrainian people live constantly. A reality that is hard to believe in the 21st century. Destruction of cities and towns, rocket and artillery shelling of residential neighborhoods, thousands of dead and stranded civilians, thousands of soldiers who gave their lives to liberate Ukraine. This nightmare continues. And Ukraine needs tremendous support from the world community to win this ruthless war and restore its right to a free life and democratic values.
The exhibition featured photographs by Maryan Kushnir, Vyacheslav Ratinsky, Alexei Furman, Alina Smutko, Max Levin, Kateryna Moskalyuk, Sergey Mikhalchuk, Sergey Korovaynyi, Pavel Dorogogo, Yurka Dyachishin, Yevgeny Maloletka, Mstislava Chernova.
