The Language of Photography is a social project implemented by the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) in educational and rehabilitation centers in Kharkiv and Kyiv for children with speech and hearing impairments.
Classes were conducted by experienced teachers, UAPP participants. These were general photography lectures adapted for children with hearing impairments. They covered the basic skills of photography, introduced them to the basics of composition, systematized the knowledge gained and, as a result, provided a tool for artistic expression and further development of children interested in photography.

Director General of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers, Mstislav Chernov notes:
We are confident that children with hearing impairments can fully realize their creativity and potential with the help of the “Language of Photography”. The project will give them the opportunity to be in dialogue with society through awareness in the field of photography, or to realize themselves in the photographic field in the future.
