Four people were killed at the site of a double attack by enemy strike drones. Mayor of Kharkov Igor Terekhov noted that Kharkiv had experienced a difficult night. One of the UAVs hit a 14-story building, which led to the destruction of apartments on several floors, as well as damage to the outer wall.

“The city was attacked by 'shaheeds' who hit residential buildings. Three rescuers were killed in a repeat attack on an apartment building elsewhere. In total, we have four dead. Also among the victims was an emergency medical nurse who, together with the team, arrived at the scene to provide assistance,” the mayor said.

Attacks were recorded in Novobavarsky, Slobidsky and Saltivsky districts of the city. A total of 12 injured, three of them in serious condition, five in moderate severity. Special equipment is also damaged.

“I was at home when the explosions started. He went up to the roof to understand where the impact was, and heard a drone circling somewhere very close by. Two landing spots were visible from the roof, so my colleague and I immediately went to look for them.

We arrived at one of the addresses and saw that the private sector was on fire. A woman with a child stood nearby, it was clear that they had not yet recovered from the explosion. Firefighters were eliminating the effects of the smash, and 150 meters away, another rescue team was working on another arrival that damaged a high-rise building. At this time we heard the drone again, it was very loud, it was circling around us. We ran to the road and hid behind some fence. From there, they saw a red “mushroom” from another explosion. Every soul rushed there and saw terrible chaos: cars were burning, people were running, trying to understand what had happened and what to do, some urgently needed help, and someone died... Rescuers shouted that an ambulance was needed, carrying the wounded. The ambulance was also damaged by the explosion, the windows were knocked out in it, through them I saw the wheelbarrow, which was so needed now.

While everyone around shouted: “Hurry!”, I tried to open the door of this car, nothing came out, and I had to climb into it through a broken window. Once inside, I lay on the wheelbarrow, which was all in glass, shook my hands, and with all my might began to knock the doors with my feet to somehow open them. A police officer joined me in a minute to help knock down the door, but it was locked. As a result, nothing happened, but from somewhere they brought another wheelbarrow and began to carry out the victims.

A little further under the tree lay another wounded, looking like a policeman. He needed urgent help because a tourniquet was put on his leg and was injured in the abdomen. Volunteers ran to him, who very professionally provided first aid. Meanwhile, everyone started shouting, “Air!”, and we ran closer to the walls and fences, away from this place. Just on the road lay people waiting or hiding from the re-arrival, my colleague and I asked them to hide and they left.

A little later we returned to the epicenter of the tragedy and I saw in the carriage a fast guy who was being carried away on a wheelchair. He was dead, his hand hung from the wheelbarrow, and his blood spilled on the broken glass.

The strangest thing is that when you're working, maybe because of adrenaline or something, you think very rationally and detached, and like everything's okay. But when the night passed, when I dealt with the photos, I started crying,” Georgy Ivanchenko shared.

In total, local authorities report three “arrivals” — all in residential buildings. A fire started on the site of one of them, on the other there was a collapse of the slabs of the building. Emergency and communal services are working to eliminate the consequences of shelling, light outages are possible in the city.
