CABs in sleeping Kharkiv and evacuation in the middle of the night. The consequences of the Russian attack on the Saltovka 5-storey building in the photos of Ivan Samoilov

On the night of October 3, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv with five air bombs. According to preliminary data, these were UMPB D-30SN planning bombs.  

In the morning, the number of people injured in the Russian strike on Kharkiv increased to 12, including a child, said the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov.

“12 people were injured: five were hospitalized, their condition is moderate and light. Among the injured is a 3-year-old girl who is being treated on an outpatient basis,” he wrote.

At night, while rescuers and volunteers worked tirelessly to help residents of the affected buildings, hundreds of families evacuated in panic. The five-story building and the neighboring buildings lost power. Mayor Igor Terekhov announced the establishment of aid centers where people could warm up with hot tea.  

The mayor also added that the latest strike on the suburbs damaged high-voltage transmission lines, and as a result, there may be power outages in some areas of Kharkiv.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, on October 2, at about 23:00, the enemy launched five guided aerial bombs at Kharkiv and its suburbs from the village of Stroitel in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation using two Su-34 aircraft. According to preliminary data, these were D-30SN UMPB bombs. According to air defense systems, their speed was 600 km/h.

It is noted that two bombs hit the suburbs - on the territory of the Dergachiv community. Three more hit Kharkiv.

“In Shevchenkivsky district, two aerial bombs hit an open area. In Saltivsky district, an aircraft munition hit a five-story residential building,” the prosecutor's office summarized.

In his address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the need for Ukraine to receive strong international support to stop these brutal attacks. Kharkiv has once again witnessed brutal aggression, but remains steadfast in its pursuit of peace and justice.
