A 14-year-old girl was killed and six people were injured in a nighttime Russian drone attack on Kyiv.  Late in the evening of October 25, Kyiv came under another Russian attack with attack drones.

One of the drones hit a high-rise building in the Solomyansky district, causing a fire and destruction on the upper floors. The strike killed a 14-year-old girl, injured six people, and hospitalized one. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces detected and neutralized up to a dozen Russian attack drones that were threatening Kyiv,” KIAA said in a statement.

More than 100 residents were evacuated from the damaged building. The fire was localized thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, who also checked each apartment to see if any residents were still there.

In addition to human losses, the explosion caused additional destruction. The substation that provided electricity to the area was damaged. The blast wave smashed windows in neighboring buildings. Cars were also damaged and a fire broke out in the parking lot, where several cars caught fire.

The air raid alarm was sounded three times at night, with a total duration of seven and a half hours. The enemy attacked the capital in several waves from the southern and northeastern directions. This is the 16th air attack on Kyiv in October.
