The film will be available for viewing on big screens from April 11

In April, the most expensive blockbuster of the American independent company A24 - the film”Rebellion of the States“. The budget of the film was made 75 million dollars. The studio is known to viewers for such films as the Oscar-winning “Everything Always and at the Same Time”, “Moonlight”, as well as the hits “Lady Bird”, “Solstice”, “Lobster” and others.

The director and screenwriter of the ambitious film project was the legendary visionary Alex Garland, who worked on such hits as “Ex Machina”, “Annihilation”, “Mankind”, “28 Days Later”, and also wrote the novel “The Beach”, based on which the film of the same name was shot with Leonardo DiCaprio in the lead role. In Ukraine, the tape was exclusively showedby a distributor company Green Light Films. And the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers became a partner of the shows.

In his works, Alex Garland demonstrates a unique reflection of the world. The “Rebellion of the States” was no exception. The action of a stunning action about the United States of the near imaginary future takes place against the background of the escalation of the civil war during the reign of the president, who remains for a third term and ignores the protests of citizens. A team of military photojournalists travels the country documenting the rapid escalation of the internal schism and its consequences for both the entire state and the ordinary civilian population within it. The master of the genre, Alex Garland, keeps the viewer in suspense as he takes an adrenaline-fueled journey on the cutting edge of an dystopian tomorrow, immersing himself in a cinematic world that is gaining momentum every minute until the inevitable stunning conclusion. The film's official synopsis: “A thrilling adrenaline journey through a splintered America balancing on a razor blade.”

The main roles in the films were entrusted to the star cast in the composition Kirsten Dunst(“Melancholy”, “Interview with the Vampire”), Nick Offerman (“Parks and recreation areas”) Wagner Moura(“Narco”), Jesse Plemensa (“Flower Full Killers”, “Let the Shore”) and the newly discovered star of the biopic “Priscilla” Kylie Spacey.

The scenario depicted in the film is easy to imagine, given the destabilization of the geopolitical situation in the world, and in particular, against the background of growing political intolerance in the United States and accusations of non-transparency of the presidential election. “Insurrection of the States” looks like a warning against potentially dangerous actions that could lead to inevitable consequences within one of the most powerful states today: chaos, division of society, and lack of right to protest. Photocorrespondents are the mouthpieces of objectivity, who capture reality every moment in order to spread the truth around the world.

The trailer of the film sums up the phrase “All empires will fall.” Whether this is the case with the United States, the Ukrainian viewer will find out April 11simultaneously with the world premiere in cinemas in 2D, 4DX and IMAX formats, which maximally emphasizes cinematography and the scope of the director's plan.
