After noon on Wednesday, May 14, the Russians shelled Kharkiv several times. A series of explosions were heard in the city. First, the Russians hit a residential high-rise building in the city center. As a result of this attack, apartments from the 9th to the 13th floors were destroyed in the house.
Injuries of varying severity received 20 people, including a 12-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. Six doctors were also hospitalized. “They are in average condition. The oldest man is 87 years old. A total of 1 civilian is in serious condition. 11 people received moderate injuries. 5 in mild condition,” the head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration clarified Oleg Synegubov.
“It is impossible to say that there are any military facilities here, there are educational institutions, metro, residential buildings nearby,” said Mayor Igor Terekhov.
People will be evicted from the house, which has suffered serious damage. He also added that elsewhere Russians hit garages, 10 of them caught fire.
Therefore, the Russians launched several repeated strikes on the area of residential buildings. Part of the rocket did not break.
The alarm in Kharkiv region sounded from 14:32. The air force warned about the launching of guided aerial bombs in the Kharkiv region. However, already at 6 o'clock in the morning on this day, several flights arrived in the city and the surrounding area. As a result of the attack, 7 high-rise buildings were cut, and two people were injured.
Over the past month, the Russians increased the intensity of shelling of Kharkov with guided air bombs, and last week they breached the border in two places in the region. They are currently trying to push deep into the region. Heavy fighting continues for Volchansk.
