In the afternoon of September 24, 2024, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv with air strikes. Today, the targets for Russian bombs are a residential building, a bakery, and a stadium.
As of 18:00, three people were killed and 31 injured. “There are six victims in a residential building in Kyiv district. The floors in the building were from the eighth to the third,” wrote Mayor Igor Terekhov.
The rescue operation is underway at the places of arrival. Terekhov noted that 82 people lived in the most affected entrance of the building in the Kyiv district. Rescuers are now trying to contact all of them.
“There may be one person under the rubble of a high-rise building. The rubble is still being cleared. Rescuers, special search dogs and all the necessary specialized services are involved,” said Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
He said that the youngest injured person was a 17-year-old girl, and the oldest was an 87-year-old woman. Most of the injured are in moderate condition. Four people are in serious condition. Three people are in surgery.
According to law enforcement officials, the enemy fired eight KAB-250s at residential areas of Kharkiv today. Two bombs hit the territory of the Tsyrkuniv territorial community. Six more hits were recorded in Kharkiv: Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi and Nemyshlyanskyi districts.
As a reminder, on September 15, Russian troops hit a high-rise building in Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs. The attack left 41 people wounded, including four children.
