President Volodymyr Zelensky stressed that if Ukraine had received enough air defense equipment, there would not be so many casualties in Chernihiv.

“Chernihiv. Unfortunately, the death toll may increase. And this would not happen if Ukraine received enough air defense equipment and if the determination of the world in countering Russian terror was also sufficient,” he wrote in the telegram.

“Three days ago in the Middle East, we saw what reliable protection of human lives from missiles looks like. Ukraine's partners have the necessary means to help us save Ukrainian lives with the same level of efficiency,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine wrote on the social network “X” Dmytro Kuleba.
