Six times a day the Russians shelled Kharkiv. Consequences of the enemy attack on the photo of Eugene Gertner
The Russians dropped a guided air bomb on the central part of Kharkov. On July 24 at 16:47 Russian troops attacked Kharkiv for the sixth time. Two people were injured as a result of an attack on a private house in Kharkiv. Rescuers and medics are working at the scene. This was announced by the mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov.

In the morning of July 19, Russian forces hit two Iskander missiles on the central part of Chuguev, Kharkiv region. As a result of the enemy air attack, 9 people were injured. Among them is a teenager. This is reported by the head of the Kharkiv OVA Oleg Synegubov.

Shield city or the next “fortress” of the Chasovyi Yar on the photos of Ukrainian documentarians
Chasiv Yar is a city that has been stormed and shelled for months by occupation forces. The invaders continue to intensively burn Chasiv Yar, embodying scorched earth tactics. For more than two and a half years, Russian troops have been trying at any cost to capture the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, which became the front line after the capture of Bakhmut.

Microgrant and Mentorship Program to Support Ukrainian Photographers
The program includes four mentorship courses and a final competition for participants. After that, we will provide financial support of €8,000 to Ukrainian photographers who create projects related to the theme of war. First and foremost, we will support authors who do not have regular access to equipment and resources, giving them additional opportunities to continue their work.

"SMS from Mariupol"
The Ukrainian Atelier of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) and the Innovation Fund in Arts of the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg, presented a series of exhibition projects that served as a photo diary from occupied Mariupol. These projects were exhibited in Stuttgart and Dresden, Germany.

The photobook "Independent. The Story of Modern Ukraine in the Photographs of the Best Documentarians."
The photobook, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, was published with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Book Institute. It contains more than 140 unique documentary photographs from over 60 Ukrainian photographers, arranged chronologically from the proclamation of Ukraine's independence to the present day.

Manipulations in the media can occur even without the pressure of censors. The flow of images is everywhere; it defines trends and tastes and influences changes in political regimes. A reasonable fear of obvious metaphors always tries to stop the author, but how hard is it to avoid them when it comes to a town called Chasiv Yar. How to avoid the metaphor of a town devastated by war, which now belongs to dogs and memories to some extent, to the few remaining people with weapons (because they need to somehow fight off those dogs), and most importantly to the military, who need to defend the town from the Russians, no matter what ravine or abyss of numbed time and memory...

War Nouveau: A series by Yurko Dyachyshyn exploring the new landscapes of war.
Lviv photographer Yurko Dyachyshyn has been documenting life during the war since the first hours of the full-scale Russian invasion. He specifically captures how the familiar landscapes of his hometown, Lviv, are changing under the aggressive impact of war. Yurko Dyachyshyn shared his thoughts on working on the War Nouveau project, the limits of aesthetics during wartime, and why he doesn't believe that a single photograph can stop a war, though he hopes he is wrong.

Планувалось, що невеликі житлові контейнери стануть тимчасовим прихистком для внутрішньо переміщених родин.
