6 жовтня близько 6:46 у Харкові пролунали вибухи. Влучання були в Київському та Основ'янському районах міста. Попередньо, російські військові завдали удари ракетами типу «Іскандер».
Станом на 14:30 унаслідок обстрілу Харкова постраждали 30 людей, 12 з яких – госпіталізували. Керівник обласної військової адміністрації Олег Синєгубов повідомив, що загинув десятирічний хлопчик. Тіло дитини дістали з-під завалів житлового будинку в Основ'янському районі міста. Пошуки тіл під завалами тривають.
