Меморіальний фонд Курта Шорка (KSMF) запрошує медійників-фрилансерів, місцевих репортерів і фіксерів з усього світу подати заявки на щорічну премію. Переможці у трьох номінаціях отримають $ 5 000 призу.
- Номінація «Фрилансер» для журналістів-фрилансерів, які працюють у зонах світових конфліктів з особистим ризиком.
- Номінація «Місцевий репортер» для медійників у країнах, що розвиваються, або країнах із перехідною економікою, які пишуть про події на своїй батьківщині.
- Номінація «Фіксер» для місцевих журналістів, найнятих іноземними медіа, чия робота сприяє міжнародному висвітленню складних, небезпечних або ворожих локацій.
Кандидати в номінації «Місцевий репортер» і «Фрилансер» мають подати по три статті, опубліковані з 1 червня 2023 року до 31 травня 2024 року. Претенденти на премію «Фіксер» подають три рекомендації від іноземних кореспондентів, із якими вони працювали протягом аналогічного періоду. Публікації мають висвітлювати конфлікти, права людини, транскордонні проблеми або будь-які суперечливі питання у країні чи регіоні.
Заявки необхідно подати на сайт відповідно до номінацій «Фрилансер», «Місцевий репортер» та «Фіксер».
