Changes in the rules of work of journalists in war: prolongation of accreditation and a clear description of the work of the media in the zones
Another step towards constructive communication between the media and the military. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, by order No. 51 of February 3, 2024, approved amendments to the order No. 73 on the rules of accreditation of journalists during martial law. For the first time, a detailed description of the zones, which was previously absent at all, is presented.

Casualties and destruction in Odesa: the aftermath of the Russian drone attack as seen through the lens of photographer Timothy Melnikov
On the night of April 23, the Russians attacked the south of Ukraine with Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs. The residential sector of Odessa fell under the enemy's sights. As a result of the enemy attack on the city, damage was recorded to almost 60 apartments in 22 houses. Nine people were also injured, including four children. This is a boy and a girl of 5 and 9 months and two boys of 9 and 12 years.

The destroyed warehouse of Nova Poshta in Odesa after a ballistic strike in the photos by Tymofiy Melnikov and Oleksandr Gimanov
On the evening of May 1, Russian troops once again attacked Odessa. The enemy struck the warehouses and the branch of Novaya Poshta. Information about the attack was confirmed on the official page of the NP. According to preliminary data, about 900 shipments were damaged and destroyed.

The SES fought the fire for 5 hours. Large-scale fires in Kharkiv after Russian attack in the lens of Yakiv Lyashenko
On the night of May 4, Russian forces attacked Ukraine from the Belgorod region with 13 “shaheeds” and 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles. Air defense forces destroyed all 13 attack drones within Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

On the occasion of the Holodomor Remembrance Day, the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers in cooperation with the Center for Austrian-Ukrainian Cultural Studies, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria, the Ukrainian Student Society "Sich" in Graz and the Ukrainian Research and Education Center for Holodomor Studies (HREC) created a documentary exhibition "The Holodomor and War. Ukraine in 1932-1933 and 2022".

Photographs of Ukraine 1991-2022". The works presented at the exhibition show that the outbreak of war in 2022 is not the beginning, but a dramatic escalation of the long-standing conflict between the two states.

This photo by Pavlo Dorohoi has been reposted by everyone. Or so it seemed to me. I saw it on the Facebook page of a military journalist I know, on the Facebook page of an unknown eyebrow artist from Myrhorod Even an IT specialist from Kyiv who managed to flee to Berlin in the spring of 2022 left this photo in his stories for 24 hours. The blue haze of cold Kharkiv. A bare tree with things hanging from its branches, thrown out from neighboring houses by a Russian missile blast.

On 11 January, Kyiv said goodbye to Maksym "Dali" Kryvtsov. He was a volunteer, a soldier, a junior sergeant, and a tutor at the Motley Raccoons children's camp. He was also a poet. In December 2023, at the very beginning of a brilliant literary career, Maksym Kryvtsov published his first book of poetry. We will never know what his poetic voice would have become, how it would have changed and matured.
