A closed shelter. The aftermath of the missile attack on Kyiv, photo by Mstyslav Chernov
On the night of June 1, 2023, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Kiev. At least sixteen people were injured, three people were killed. Among the dead is a child. The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers publishes photos of Mstislav Chernov, who captured the aftermath of a night mass attack by Russian troops on the capital.

“White King” and others. The most mysterious unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the photos of Viacheslav Ratynskyi
On May 22, 2023, a series of explosions occurred in the Belgorod region. The Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine said that an operation is being carried out in this territory to “create a safety strip” exclusively with the participation of citizens of the Russian Federation. Instead, a “counter-terrorist operation regime” was introduced in the Belgorod region and began evacuating nuclear munitions from the storage facility.

On April 28, 2023, the Russian army launched a missile strike on Uman. Russian missiles hit a nine-story residential building. Twenty-three people were killed, including six children.

Da Vinci's Last Assault. Memoirs of Konstantin and Vlada Liberov about Dmytro Kotsiubailo
The commander of the special unit “Wolves Da Vinci” Dmitry Kotsyubailo with the nickname Da Vinci died in the fighting for Bakhmut on March 7, 2023. Dmitry was only 27 years old, and he fought since 18. After the Revolution of Dignity, he volunteered to the east of Ukraine. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Da Vinci fought in various directions, but died in the Donetsk region, which he called his “second home”.

Interrupted flight. The plane crash that killed the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the photos of Vyacheslav Ratynsky
On January 18, 2023, a Super Puma helicopter crashed on a kindergarten in Brovary. On board was the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Nine people were killed, including Minister Denis Monastyrsky and his first deputy Yevhen Yenin. All who were in the helicopter were killed, including the pilots. The group was heading to Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Silence and hope in the midst of darkness and pain. The aftermath of a missile strike in Dnipro in the photos of Yevhen Zavhorodnyi
On January 14, 2023, the Russian army hit the Dnieper with missiles. The rocket hit an apartment building at 3:30 p.m., when many people were at home. As a result of the attack, two entrances of the multi-storey building were destroyed — 72 apartments were destroyed, more than 230 were damaged. 46 people were killed, including six children. 11 people are still missing. Three days of mourning were introduced in Dnipro.

With the support of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), an exhibition by Ukrainian photographer Ihor Chekachkov took place. His images have been published by Forbes, National Geographic, The Guardian, Le Monde, and other international media. NA4JOPM8 is a series of photographs that unites images of fragments of reality from various spheres, ranging from protest events on Maidan in Kharkiv to intimate scenes from private life.

The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) partnered with Chekachkov Photo Academy to hold a competition for the best visual diary created during quarantine. The result was a group online exhibition titled "Those Who Are Alone," featuring the best photographs taken as part of the competition initiated by Chekachkov Photo Academy.

Virtual Gallery: Unbreakable. Chronicles of War in Ukraine
In this project, we explore the chronicles of war in Ukraine, witnessed by dozens of Ukrainian photographers. Their photographs have helped create a unique artistic space that will mark the beginning of a new era in Ukraine's history and present it to the world. The virtual gallery features both well-known images that have become part of global history and those that have yet to be published. Each photograph symbolizes the struggle, unity, and resilience of the Ukrainian people.

The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of India implemented an exhibition titled "Ukraine Now: Darkness vs Light. Children Dream about Peace", which opened on April 14, 2022. The Polish Institute in India, the Pharmaceutical Company "Kusum", and representatives of the Ukrainian community in India served as partners and partial sponsors for the exhibition.
