FotoEvidence Ukraine initiative
FotoEvidence, in partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), is developing a three-year program, FotoEvidence Ukraine, to support the community of Ukrainian photographers and help preserve and revive Ukrainian history and culture through the publication of photo books documenting the Russian invasion of Ukraine since 2014.

On the night of August 26, the Russians began to attack Ukraine with “shaheeds”, in the morning they were joined by rockets. Explosions were heard in Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhia, Kiev and Lviv regions. And also in Kharkiv, Lviv, Vinnitsa, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Kropyvnytskyi.

8 wounded in Kharkiv. Consequences of the night missile attack of the Russian Federation on Ukraine in the photo of Ivan Samoilov
On August 25 at 4:08 the Russians shelled the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv. As a result of the missile attack, a two-story private house burned down, and another private house was also damaged. At 4:26 the invaders struck again on the city. Therefore, trees and shrubs with an area of 150 square meters were burned in the Industrial District.

Exhibition "This is order, SORRI"
The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), in collaboration with Ukrainischer Verein Mainz e.V. and photographer David Yampolsky, realized a photo exhibition dedicated to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. It was presented on May 14, 2022, at the Gutleut gallery in Mainz, Germany. The Kyiv Photography School and the National Society of Photo Artists of Ukraine also joined the organization of the exhibition.

Series of exhibitions "Moments among the ruins. Documentary photographs from Ukraine. People at war"
The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), in collaboration with the Ukrainian Student Society "Sich" and the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Graz, have realized a series of photo exhibitions titled "Moments Among the Ruins. Documentary Photographs from Ukraine. People at War." These exhibitions are dedicated to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The displays were presented at the premises of the University of Graz named after Karl-Franz and the Technical University of Graz.

A series of exhibitions "Tragedy of the 21st century in the centre of Europe"
The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), in collaboration with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus, organized a series of exhibitions titled "Tragedy of the 21st century in the centre of Europe", which took place in the cities of Nicosia, Sotira, and Larnaca. The events were charitable, and visitors had the opportunity to donate to the Journalism Emergency Fund, which supports journalists and photographers.

Exhibition "Russian War Crimes House" Davos 2022
The Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP), in collaboration with the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, PinchukArtCentre, the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and the online publication "Ukrainska Pravda", implemented a project presenting an exhibition about Russia's war crimes in Ukraine. The opening of the "Russian War Crimes House" took place on May 23, 2022, in Davos, Switzerland.

“To give a voice to those who could not speak out during their lifetime.” Lesia Marushchak about the world's most famous exhibition about the Holodomor
Project MARIA by Canadian artist of Ukrainian descent Lesia Maruschak became the most famous exhibition about the Holodomor of 1932-1933, according to the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide in Kyiv. This artwork has traveled to nine countries, and the book based on the project has won international awards. The exhibition provides an opportunity to look at the memory of the Holodomor through art, which makes a complex topic accessible and understandable on many levels.

On the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity, the UAPF recalls how Odesa became part of the struggle for Ukraine's independence. The city, which is often called the pearl by the sea, was then on the verge of a transition between a European pro-Ukrainian future and a Russian past. In this article, we describe how Odessans fought for their freedom, and supplement the text with photographs by documentary filmmaker Oleksandr Himanov, who witnessed these events.

Penetration of bugs into your personal space and how to learn to coexist with it. New UAPF member Olga Koval about her projects and plans
Olha Koval is a new member of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers who attracts the attention of the art community with her original approach to contemporary issues. Her project “Eruption” took second place in the competition of the Mykolaiv School of Photography “MYPH” and resonated with the audience and critics. She created more than 40 thousand red-winged beetles, sculpting and painting them by hand.
