Another terrorist act by the Russians in Kharkiv. At midnight on May 31, several explosions were heard in Kharkiv: Russian troops hit S-300 and S-400 missiles on residential buildings from the territory of the Belgorod region.

Epicenter of tragedy and pain in Kharkiv after enemy plane bombs on hypermarket in documentary photos
A large-scale fire, a column of black smoke over the city and the bodies of the murdered Kharkov residents in the parking lot are the consequences of another crime of Russians against civilians. Today, May 25, at 16:02, Russian troops shelled the hypermarket “Epicentrum” in Kharkiv with the Cabas. The number of dead and wounded is increasing every hour.

The bodies of the dead among the burned books. The consequences of the Russian attack on the printing house in Kharkiv in the photos of Alexander Magula
On May 23, Russian forces launched ten strikes on Kharkov. There were powerful explosions in the city. Today, the target of the enemy has become a printing house and transport infrastructure. According to preliminary data, the enemy attacked the city with S-300 missiles. Attacks were recorded in Kholodnogorsky and Osnovyan districts.

Ruins and blood after “arrival” in Kharkiv. Documentary photos of Georgy Ivanchenko and Vlada and Konstantin Liberov
Damaged high-rise buildings, trams and trolleybuses destroyed, cars burned, wounded and frightened people — these are the consequences of shelling Kharkov by Russian forces with UMPB D-30 ammunition. The explosion in the city was heard on May 22 at 13:45. The enemy once again struck from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation on residential areas of the city — Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnogorsk.

The tragedy of the destroyed recreation center from the suburbs of Kharkiv on film photos by Vladislav Krasnoshchek
Destroyed gazebos and mutilated bodies under rubble are the result of another Russian attack on civilians. On the morning of May 19, Russian forces fired double strikes on the recreation area in the suburbs of Kharkiv with Iskander-M missiles. Under the impact was a recreation center in the village of Cherkaska Lozova, where about half a hundred people were.

Microgrant and Mentorship Program to Support Ukrainian Photographers
The program includes four mentorship courses and a final competition for participants. After that, we will provide financial support of €8,000 to Ukrainian photographers who create projects related to the theme of war. First and foremost, we will support authors who do not have regular access to equipment and resources, giving them additional opportunities to continue their work.

"SMS from Mariupol"
The Ukrainian Atelier of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) and the Innovation Fund in Arts of the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg, presented a series of exhibition projects that served as a photo diary from occupied Mariupol. These projects were exhibited in Stuttgart and Dresden, Germany.

The photobook "Independent. The Story of Modern Ukraine in the Photographs of the Best Documentarians."
The photobook, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, was published with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Book Institute. It contains more than 140 unique documentary photographs from over 60 Ukrainian photographers, arranged chronologically from the proclamation of Ukraine's independence to the present day.

Manipulations in the media can occur even without the pressure of censors. The flow of images is everywhere; it defines trends and tastes and influences changes in political regimes. The media constructs reality and has the power to shape the course of history.

Where there is a bare pier and Oleshky sands. Photo with the story through the eyes of Elena Guseinova
I remembered this photo of Ivan Antipenko in the first week of June. Blooming lilac and a fighter with a smoke block. Antipenko took this photo back in April. In the Kherson region. In the south, lilac blooms faster. Strawberries and cherries ripen faster. Russian air bombs arrive faster. And many more things in the south are happening faster. But I don't know how to use the word “faster” when describing the path to the Hola Marina or the Oleshkov Sands.
