UNESCO and IMI present photo exhibition on culture in the midst of war
In the Hanenkov Museum, the photo exhibition “Behind the Lens: Culture in the Vortex of War” about the Ukrainian cultural heritage destroyed by Russia continues. The project is implemented by the Institute of Mass Information with the support of the UNESCO Heritage Emergency Fund and the people of Japan.

Shelling, evacuation and the threat of re-occupation of Vovchansk in the documentary photos by Heorhiy Ivanchenko and Yakov Lyashenko
Volchansk is a city in Kharkiv region, located 4 km from the border with the Russian Federation and almost 50 km from Kharkiv itself. For the sixth day in a row, the city does not leave the front pages of the world media. Shelling, fire and destruction. Today, the city is under constant fire from the Russians. For the second time in the entire period of the Russian full-scale invasion, Volchansk may be captured. The invaders are trying to surround Volchansk, approaching it from different sides.

Russians have been shelling Kharkiv all day: injured citizens, fires and destruction in the photos of documentary filmmakers
After noon on Wednesday, May 14, the Russians shelled Kharkiv several times. A series of explosions were heard in the city. First, the Russians hit a residential high-rise building in the city center. As a result of this attack, apartments from the 9th to the 13th floors were destroyed in the house.

Microgrant and Mentorship Program to Support Ukrainian Photographers
The program includes four mentorship courses and a final competition for participants. After that, we will provide financial support of €8,000 to Ukrainian photographers who create projects related to the theme of war. First and foremost, we will support authors who do not have regular access to equipment and resources, giving them additional opportunities to continue their work.

"SMS from Mariupol"
The Ukrainian Atelier of Culture and Sports, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers (UAPP) and the Innovation Fund in Arts of the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts of Baden-Württemberg, presented a series of exhibition projects that served as a photo diary from occupied Mariupol. These projects were exhibited in Stuttgart and Dresden, Germany.

The photobook "Independent. The Story of Modern Ukraine in the Photographs of the Best Documentarians."
The photobook, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, was published with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Book Institute. It contains more than 140 unique documentary photographs from over 60 Ukrainian photographers, arranged chronologically from the proclamation of Ukraine's independence to the present day.
