Rocket Attack on the village of Groza: What the Propaganda Media Reported
On October 5, 2023, the Russian army shelled the village of Hroza in the Kupiansk district of the Kharkiv region. The strike hit a local café-store, resulting in the deaths of 59 people, including an 8-year-old boy. The Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office reported that nearly half of the local residents who remained in Hroza at that time were killed.

CABs in sleeping Kharkiv and evacuation in the middle of the night. The consequences of the Russian attack on the Saltovka 5-storey building in the photos of Ivan Samoilov
On the night of October 3, the Russian army attacked Kharkiv with five air bombs. According to preliminary data, these were UMPB D-30SN planning bombs. In the morning, the number of people injured in the Russian strike on Kharkiv increased to 12, including a child, said the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov.

On the occasion of the Holodomor Remembrance Day, the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers in cooperation with the Center for Austrian-Ukrainian Cultural Studies, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria, the Ukrainian Student Society "Sich" in Graz and the Ukrainian Research and Education Center for Holodomor Studies (HREC) created a documentary exhibition "The Holodomor and War. Photographs of Ukraine 1991-2022". The works presented at the exhibition show that the outbreak of war in 2022 is not the beginning, but a dramatic escalation of the long-standing conflict between the two states.

Bogdan Huliai has become a new member of the Ukrainian Association of Professional Photographers. His work goes beyond traditional reportage photography - Bohdan explores deep themes of memory, existence, and personal stories, which he skillfully conveys mostly in film photographs. A photo with a story: The appeal of the image is the confusion of reality
This image, taken out of context, stops me and makes me interested, but reality erases all the aesthetic dimensions of the composition. It is difficult to talk about such pictures - I like them or I don't like them. Of course, I like the composition, the hunched bodies in a limited space touching each other, the flow of colors and the way the eye slides from one man's back to another, but I don't like the situation, the disgusting bodies and men's backs, their hands and, above all, their faces..

A Research That Became a Challenge: Olga Kovaleva and Vladislav Krasnoshchek on Filming in a Russian POW Camp
Photographers Olga Kovaleva and Vladislav Krasnoshchek, who actively document the Russia-Ukraine war, visited a Russian POW camp. They intended to create a photo report, but working among prisoners of war turned out to be challenging. For Vladislav and Olga, who came under enemy artillery fire in Donetsk in the summer of 2024, filming in the camp became not only a professional challenge but also an emotional one.

The "Azov" Battalion was created on May 5, 2014, in the city of Berdiansk as a special police patrol battalion of the Ministry of Internal Affairs based on a decision by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The battalion emerged from the Ukrainian partisan group "Chornyi Korpus," which voluntarily participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine, particularly in Kharkiv and the Sea of Azov region in 2014.
